A Day in the Life

MCH children cannot wait to come to school! On any given day, they might arrange fresh flowers in decorative vases for the classroom, work on a continent map of the world, paint a watercolor, or use Montessori materials to expand their reading or math operations skills.

At Circle Time, they listen to stories, or watch a special presentation from a Native American dancer or a parent sharing special customs from his or her country of origin. After lunch, many children ride the “Big Yellow Bus” to a local playground for free play and outdoor time.

In the late afternoon, children may also participate in extra-curricular activities, such as Spanish, yoga, or gymnastics classes. Some children stay for the extended program, where they engage in free play, arts and crafts, reading and other relaxing activities.
