Full-time School Administrator

Montessori Children’s House (MCH), a well-established Montessori preschool (founded in 1978) located in the Richmond/Presidio section of San Francisco, is seeking a full-time Administrator to begin in August 2012. 

The school’s Administrator oversees the financial operations of the school.The ideal candidate must have training and experience in small business accounting and financial management. Proficiency in the use of QuickBooks is essential as is experience in creating and managing budgets and financial reports.

The school’s office is the main hub of information about the school. Through in-person, telephone, fax, email, website or written material the office provides a continual flow of information among current and prospective families, faculty, staff and the broader community. As such, the  school's Administrator must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

MCH is looking for someone who will project a professional and positive image at all times.  This is an opportunity to work with an experienced and committed staff that is devoted to the school and the children. The ideal candidate must be able to support our established, quality Montessori environment.

Requirements:

  • BA or BS degree in finance or administration or related experience
  • State health and safety requirements including CPR, TB test and DOJ clearance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and website management
  • Knowledge of Montessori philosophy and methods is a plus
