Commitment to Diversity
MCH is fully committed to building a student body that reflects the diversity of the San Francisco Bay Area. To this end, MCH welcomes and embraces families of all races, ethnicities, national origins, religious beliefs, genders, disabilities, sexual orientations, family compositions or socio-economic status.MCH has a thriving Diversity Committee that helps define and coordinate the school’s diversity initiatives, which include parent and staff workshops, as well as fundraising events for the school’s Tuition Assistance Program (TAP). MCH embraces a culture of diversity, and strives to provide an inclusive environment where children and families feel safe and free to be themselves.
MCH parents are encouraged to visit their child’s classrooms to present their family customs, heritage, religious traditions and experiences in other cultures and countries. The school also hosts an annual Diversity Potluck dinner, where parents enjoy an eclectic mix of food and drink from various countries around the world, as represented by MCH families.
“Free the child's potential, and you will transform him into the world.”
