Letter from the Director

Welcome to the Montessori Children’s House of the West Coast (MCH) preschool. Having been involved in Montessori schools now for over 30 years, I can attest that MCH is truly a special place where parents, teachers and staff work together to provide a safe and harmonious place for children to learn and grow.

MCH provides a vibrant, enriching learning environment for children and a warm and embracing community for families. Families who visit the school often feel this sense of inclusiveness upon entering the school. The school takes great pride in these qualities.

The school’s philosophy is founded on the educational principles developed by Maria Montessori. The Montessori method is based on a deep respect for a child’s spontaneous desire to learn and celebrates each child’s inherent talents and unique personality. Learning environments are created to foster independence and develop a lifelong love of learning. Daily, I observe that MCH reflects the true values of a Montessori education.
