Preschool Program

Morning Program (8:00-11:30 am)
Between 8:00 and 8:30 am parents are welcome to join their child in the classroom for shared activity. At 8:30 am the Montessori Period continues and children choose from a multitude of activities and projects guided by their teachers. During the morning, there is a community circle, where a teacher leads the children in calendar, songs, movement and occasional special presentations. A healthy morning snack is always provided, such as fruit, whole-wheat crackers and hummus, or baby carrots and dip.

Lunch and Park Play (11:30 am-1:25 pm)
Children may also stay for the lunch and park play program. Children bring their own lunch or may sign up for our hot meal delivery service provided by a local vendor. At 11:30 am, they eat lunch together followed by clean-up and a story. They then board the MCH “Big Yellow Bus” and head out to a different neighborhood playground or park everyday for outdoor time and free play.

Afternoon Pre-K Program (1:30-3:00 pm)
Returning from Park Play, younger children nap, while the four- and five-year olds choose more advanced Montessori activities with special presentations tailored for the older child.
